Lady Airlia:

Airlia skipped along the glade, happily chasing a butterfly. The young lady had been napping in her father's glade with Naos earlier when such a creature landed on her nose. It wasn't the exact same butterfly that landed on her nose mind you, but it did make her want to go out and about.

With a little bit of begging to her mother, Lady Laini agreed to let her go out running around within the royal glades. And so she decided to go off searching for the type of creature that awoke her from her land of dreams. Eventually she found one flying nearby, the soft flapping of the wings called to her ears and the feeling of the soft flutter of breeze brushed against her fur.

She squeaked happily and jumped upwards, giggling as the insect's legs brushed against her nose. There was nothing like this, running through the fields and chasing creatures that fly. Her ears flicked, the blind filly starting to pick up on a new sound.

She staggered to a halt and flicked her ear, falling back on her rump as she tried to figure out what the sound was. With the butterfly, and her hedgehog friend running after her forgotten for a moment, Airlia trailed off in the direction of the sound.

Princess Kusanagi:

The young one year old was roaming the outside of her parent's glade, the guardsman placed in charge of watching over her not too far away along with the old hoof-maiden who also was ensuring the young fillies first time outside the glade to be safe. She was exploring the outer area, trying to stick close to her parent's glade just in case anything happened. Being a weanling, she didn't need to depend on her mother for milk anymore.

Sniffing at the flowers and watching the strange insect's, before she herself picked up the sound of movement. Her piercing, baby blue, eyes staring into that direction. Her ears pulled forward in curiosity.

Lady Airlia:

Airlia continued to follow after the sound as she trailed into the tall grasses. Eventually she had figured out the thudding to be the sound of hooves, several pairs by the deep thundering of them.

Naos scurried to her side, huffing and squeaking as he caught his breath. The palomino smiled awkwardly at her friend, "sorry buddy, guess I got a little too excited…"

She softly laughed before continuing forward, her long tail trailing after her like a winding serpent. The sharp and soothing scent of flowers hit her nose and the young lady relaxed, starting to wade through the tall plants around her. Eventually she managed to pop her head out of the field of flowers and she bumped her nose against something damp. Startled, she yanked her head back and blinked her sightless eyes.

What…? Within her young mind, she slowly put two and two together. Damp surface was equal to her mother's nose. Oh! It was a nose! The two-year-old laughed again, this time a little uncertainly. "Sorry, I heard a sound and got curious."

Princess Kusanagi:

The young princesses ear's stood straight as something pressed against her own nose, taking an instinctive step back. Taking a closer look, she noticed it was a golden coated filly. Maybe a year older than herself? The seemingly aloof filly tilted her head in confusion and curiosity before a small smile appeared on her petite features.

"Hello and it's okay", Kusanagi spoke, not even bothered, she wasn't a very energetic fawn and was rather shy and seemingly aloof around new fawnling's, though today she was a little more sociable. Happy to be allowed to wander a little as long as Cloud and Granny were watching over her.

Lady Airlia:

The filly seemed to relax a little, the fawnling she bumped noses with sounded young. Thank Óganach, she would be so flustered if she managed to wonder up to a full grown lady, she imagined that wouldn't end well for her.

She smiled brightly, trying to take away the attention that was probably being moved towards her faded pupils. Most fawns made fun of her ailment, it wasn't every day one would meet a blind fawnling, and she had quickly learned that Glenmore did not like the unusual. "My name is Airlia," she introduced, stepping out of the flowers that were surrounding her body. Bits of flower petals had fallen upon her coat when she was walking through and even now some still clung to her fur.

Princess Kusanagi:

She was calm for a moment, looking the female over before noticing she wasn't exactly looking at her like the other's she's met. Due to her age, she was rather naïve about those born with defects. The subject has not come aboard yet.

"I'm Ku-sa-na-gi", the smaller female spoke, her expression barely changing as she carefully pronounced her own name, something her old maid drilled into her head almost a million times. She watched the other female step out of the flowers. At first the one year old filly was confused, as the other female stepped out of the many plants, slightly bumping into her which caused Kusanagi to step back enough, her ears twitching slightly.

"Though others call me; Kusa, Kusana or Nagi", the female added as the blue eyed princess looked into the direction of her guardsman who was watching carefully while the old doe standing closer than him did not look concerned at all. That too did not really bother the young princess who looked back at the olden coated female.

Lady Airlia:

Airlia squeaked, becoming extremely hot in the face as she managed to bump the other fawn. She was usually very organized with her movements, why was she all over the place today?

It probably had something to do with her being a filly. The fillies she met had always been more cruel with picking on her. She swallowed and tried to steel her nerves. Thankfully when she spoke, her voice was confidant, albeit a little soft. "I'm so sorry, I misjudged the distance of your voice." Her ears flicked up and down, "I'll call you Kusa then. You can call me Leya or Ley if you like."

Princess Kusanagi:

Tilting her head, her pale locked bobbed slightly as she stared questioningly at the seemingly flustered filly.

"Okay Ley", she hesitated. Misjudged her voice? Looking at the other's eyes, they seemed... Different than hers, the servants, her parents and sister's eyes. If she was using the paler female's voice as a way to find and approach, does that mean something was wrong with her eyes? That would explain the bumping into her, not many that she knew, which was limited, tried to bump into her. It didn't really bother her, it was how and what she was right?

"It's alright, would you like to play with me", the one year old questioned? She was unsure how a fawnling who couldn't see would be able to play like her and her sister do but it would an experience and the young princess didn't mind.

Lady Airlia:

At the prospect of play, the young filly's ears flicked up, you could see that the question had a lot of effect on her. That, and the point the other filly made to call her by a nickname.

Ley. It made her feel warm and fuzzy to hear it out loud. "I'd love to play!" A hum entered her tone, loud and true.

Naos, had meanwhile managed to make his way through the flowers. The hedgehog popped his head out of the plants and slowly waddled out. He had flopped on his furry belly to pass the time. When he realized Airlia was speaking, he looked up at Kusanagi, curious.

Princess Kusanagi:

Staring at the other silently, the young princess soon caught the sight of movement, her blue eyes moving to lock onto the moving object. A strange creature? Spikey. It seemed rather curious. Looking back at the golden female.

"There's a spikey creature looking at me", the younger female spoke, her tone was soft and held a hint of curiosity. After all, she didn't often see many creatures in her families glade besides birds, squirrels and insects. Her attention was divide between wondering what the creature was versus thinking of what they could possibly do to play. Most of the time her and her sister would run around. What fawns she could see playing pretty much did so as well. Glancing at the tall flowers, there were many insects. Kusanagi assumed maybe they could run around in it. Even though she couldn't see, her hearing seemed to be very well.

Lady Airlia:

"Spikey? Oh!" Airlia's ears perked up, and she moved her head downwards where she had detected her friend's steady breathing. "This is my friend Naos, he's a hedgehog." She moved a hoof and carefully brushed the front of it across his rows of spines.

Naos was apparently very happy with the affection and started to make a strange purring noise at the back of his throat. He flicked his brown little ears, causing the leaves and flowers woven across his head to move.

She shifted her head back up and brought it to a tilting position. "Have you not seen a hedgehog before? I would think that they'd be pretty common around the glades. I think I even met Naos not too far from here."

Princess Kusanagi:

Silently listening, she stared at the little creature before looking back towards her own families glade. If there were any, they were probably hiding. Ears twisting in a form of both confusion and uncertainty.

"I've never seen one... Only birds, squirrels and insects...This is the first time I've been allowed to be outside the glade...", the pale female paused. She felt rather awkward, she guessed most fawns got to roam freely but as a princess, she needed to be watched over. She also wasn't old enough to be roaming too far either. She was a weanling, a year old. A pressed and somewhat bitter smile spread onto her small features as she somewhat realized she may not know exactly many things due to being secluded into her own den.

Taking a step towards the blind female's side, she looked out at the thick field of flowers. Tail swishing from side to side languidly.

Lady Airlia:

Airlia turned her head as she felt the other filly brush against her side, considering their angle, they were probably facing the flowers now. She offered a smile and lightly bumped the princess's side. "Eh, don't feel too bad, I probably do a little too much exploring for my own good anyways. When everyone is behaving like they're stepping on coals around you, you sometimes want to get away."

She curled her tail across her back haunches and flopped the tufted tip onto the ground. "I know it worries mom and dad, but I want to prove to them that I'm fully capable of moving about on my own." Her nose twitched, thankfully, today wasn't one of her days of roaming, her mother's scent was close. She could almost picture her watching the two of them across the field in her mind's eye.

She grinned and nudged the princess's side, changing the subject. "Hey! You wanna run through the flowers? The bees and butterflies fly about when you do that."

Princess Kusanagi:

The blue eyed female looked at the other female, her ears; twisting, turning, flexing at every little noise that her hearing could pick up. Looking back towards Cloud and Granny, she looked forward.

"I'm not allowed to go out on my own... Not without Cloud and Granny", the filly spoke. Not many princesses roamed outside of their glade without their; parents, lord and-or guards. Most seemed to stay in their glades a lot unless it was to make appearances.

The smaller female looked at the grinning older filly, a hum leaving her before she took a step forward into the tall plants.

"A run would be lovely", the filly seemed to muse, mimicking her old hoof-maiden. She could already hear a small snort of laughter further behind them, probably Cloud as he often found amusement in the fillies mimicry of others.

Lady Airlia:

Airlia giggled, lighting up a bit, "I'm not really suppose to wonder off either, but I do it anyways." She paused for a moment and flicked her ears back, "you probably shouldn't copy me with that though."

She blinked, feeling Kusanagi step forward. A soft flutter sounded, grass rubbing against fur, perhaps? She snorted out a giggle at the princess's words, "Lovely? That sounds like something a grown up would say." The palomino giggled again and pranced forward a few steps. Shoots of insects flew upwards at the abrupt stomping movement within the plants. She turned back to the other filly, "you coming, Kusa?"

Princess Kusanagi:

A small grin slowly pulled onto the champagne fillies features before jogged forward. Only to lunge forward, rushing threw the tall plants around them. Looking at the bugs, though often her blue gaze looked for the palomino female. Her nose twitching whenever an insect or blade of the plants would brush against her pink nose.

Lady Airlia:

The young lady laughed happily as a butterfly brushed against her cheek as it quickly fluttered past. A few feet away from her she could hear Kusanagi galloping around, small hooves jabbing against around to form the deep echo of thunder underhoof. Airlia swished her tail playfully before taking a flying leap, she landed less than gracefully, but managed to bring a chorus of fluttering and buzzing insects up into the air.

Princess Kusanagi:

Leaping forward, she watched the insects flee from the sudden invasion from the champagne filly. After a bit she came to a stop in the middle, standing in the shade the tree's around. Eyes looking around before looking over at the golden filly.

Lady Airlia:

Airlia laughed loudly as she rolled through the grass. She had tripped a little while back and flopped on the ground. She wiggled her legs and and pulled her head up, "I tripped little a bit ago, but then I discovered rolling in tall grass is a lot of fun!" She stood back up and wobbled on her legs, still dizzy from her rolling.

Princess Kusanagi:

Taking careful enough steps, the young princess made her way towards the young golden lady. Stopping a few feet away, she slowly laid down and began rolling in the grassy surrounding, flattening some of the grass while debris entangled into her pale locks. Getting back up, she quickly shook herself off, sending dust off her usually neatly cleaned coat. Dark patches splotched here and there from the dirt, even though it should be almost time for at least Kusanagi to have to return to her parents glade.

Lady Airlia:

Airlia was a little nervous. Her playmate had gone silent. As the slightly taller filly moved closer to her she shuffled her legs. However, she quickly relaxed as the sound of shuffling grass came from in front of her. She took a mental breath and scolded herself. There was no reason for her to be wary of her new playmate, or maybe friend. Despite the butterflies swarming in her gut, she was having fun playing with Kusanagi.

She giggled and flicked her ears up, feeling the movement of her companion stand up through her hooves. "Was I right? Or was I right? The grass likes to tickle your back, I like that feeling, what about you?"

Princess Kusanagi:

"You are right but it also got rid of the itch I couldn't reach", the blue eyed female mused, her ears twitching when a bug decided to try perching itself upon her ears, her nose twitching ever so slightly.

Lady Airlia:

The palomino stuck the end of her tongue out, "Grass is good that way!" Her voice picked off into a hum, ear flicking as a buzz started by her ear. She wondered if it was late, more bugs came out when it was late. One bug in particular thought it would be a fantastic idea to land on her nose. The filly sneezed and raised her tail to try to swat the bug away. "Bugs are itchy too," she mused in a mumble, "when they walk on you it's not always nice."

Princess Kusanagi:

The champagne filly smiled a little more as a laugh left her, the insects were indeed not fun at times as some did seem to... bite but of course she found watching the palomino distracting her rather easily despite her gaze every once in awhile shifting elsewhere.

Lady Airlia:

Airlia stuck out her tongue and tried to swipe the bug off her nose. It was a little more difficult for her since she had to rely on touch only, but eventually she shooed it off. She grinned triumphantly and gave her front hooves a stomp.

Their fun quickly came to a close, however, when Airlia's mother called for her across the clearing. The palomino's ears flicked towards the sound and turned her head. A pout slowly formed, "looks like it's about time for me to go…" she mumbled out, clearly disappointed.

Kusanagi:

The pale princess laughed lightly as she watched the blind little lady. She hummed when she heard a voice calling out to the palomino.

"I'm sure we'll see each other again", the champagne princess mused though paused as her head turned towards "granny", who called her by her title and name.

"Until we meet again Ley... and Nao", the champagne princess spoke before slowly turning to return to her two watchful protectors. Tail swishing as her ears pulled forward, a gentle smile slipping onto her petite features.
