Vladimir/Brago:

Vladimir pinned his tattered ears back as he stared at Neva talking with some colt, he was a very dark colt, darker than him, about the same shade as his mother. The scarred sooty grullo colt was standing a few feet away from the two and felt undeniable jealous of the fact his only friend seemed to forget him just because some other colt came into the area.

He disliked this side of himself, causing him to scold himself mentally as he pressed his side against a tree to lean on it, his head lowering towards the ground as he glared at the two slightly older fawnling’s. The scarred sooty grullo colt looked away stubbornly when the filly looked towards him, he pretended not to care what was going on, his tail swishing in agitation behind him, hidden by the tree from the filly and darker colts view.

“Vladdy”, the filly called out! He groaned while glaring at her, making her grin before she motioned him to come over to them. Begrudgingly the scarred male trudged his way towards the two, glaring at the other colt when he spotted the amused and cocky expression on the less frail looking colt.

“You up for a race”, Neva questioned him? The slightly pouting colt grunted, turning his head away from the amused older colt, glancing at the older colt, the frail looking sooty grullo spotted the fact the older male was extremely heavily built along with being a little shorter than Vladimir.

Doesn’t matter he most likely would still beat me, the sooty male thought irritably, the filly had to nudge him to get him to snap out of it.

“To where”, the older colt asked? The sooty grullo colt looked at Neva who began to look around before grinning as she looked into one direction, a direction both her and Vladimir knew well, he was unsure if the unknown colt knew what was in that direction.

“In that direction, there’s a tree that twisted very strangely compared to the trees around it, beside it sits two large rocks with two wolf skulls on it. We call it the twisted wolf tree, first one to it, wins”, the bulky filly mused towards the two colts, who glanced at each other before nodding at the female.

They got ready behind the line the filly made with a thick stick, she was in the middle of them with a smirk on her face while the two colts braced themselves to be ready to run when she gave the signal. Vladimir knew he could out run his friend and he knew she knew he could to, it was just a matter of if he could out run the other colt.

“Ready……Set………Go”, the filly called out as she lunged forward, both colts lunged forwards into a break neck run behind her, their long legs carrying them further and further ahead. Vladimir paced himself beside Neva while the bulkier colt was a few length ahead, Vladimir didn’t really feel like trying to out run the bulky black colt as he seemed to try his hardest to run ahead, not even knowing how far or how close the tree was.

“Vladimir, we both know you can run faster. Try and have some confidence and beat him”, the filly spoke, glaring at the sooty grullo colt who scowled back at her, unsure of himself before she warned him that she’d bite the rest of his ears off if he didn’t try to win. He was sure the filly would hold up to her threat if he didn’t try so he pushed himself forward, seeing a familiar beat old tree pass them and ran as fast as he could to pass the other colt, they were neck and neck, racing threw the wooded area, weaving In-and-out of them, jumping over small tree’s that had fallen while trying to avoid tripping.

They were getting closer and closer to their destination, unknowingly to the tiring bulky colt who began to slightly lag behind the frail, girly looking sooty grullo. Pushing himself further ahead, he knew he couldn’t slow down now as the heavy built black colt with multiple scars tried to catch up to the year younger colt. They passed a bunch of bones, the two colts almost tripping over them before they came into a slightly small clearing with a slope coming up ahead before it turns back into hill where a large enough tree sat with two rocks beside it with two wolf skulls sat on top of it, this tree was meant as a way for fawnling’s to know where they were.

The bulky black colt had been able to push himself to catch up to Vladimir who braced himself for the trek down the slope, knowing very well that there was unstable parts to it. Once they were upon the steep slope, the grullo colt carefully made his way down it while the other colt seemed to try to hurriedly get ahead of the grullo. Jumping onto the solid flat ground below, the grullo bolted forward, easily catching up to the slowly growing agitated colt who glared at Vladimir. The sooty grullo colt ignored his opponent as they slowly reached the hill, immediately Vladimir paced himself as he made his way up the hill, his opponent growing rather tired from trying to run up the hill, once Vladimir hit the top, he was gone, running to the tree, where he came to a sudden halt, carefully pressing his nose on the tree.

He didn’t even realize his lungs were burning from the exertion of this little race, his chest heaving rapidly as he tried to catch his breath, small short coughs emerging slightly. As the bulky colt approached angrily, before the colt could say anything, the filly came running right behind him, she was almost out of breath like the him and the unknown colt but not as much. Vladimir found it rather amusing that the colt was trying to impress the filly by not trying to be mean to the grullo, who gave him a secret amused smile which angered the other colt immensely.
